True Food Kitchen Set To Open At Midtown Tampa Feb. 28

TAMPA, FL — True Food Kitchen, the award-winning, seasonally inspired restaurant and scratch bar announced that it will open its newest restaurant in Tampa on Monday, Feb. 28 at Midtown Tampa.

The opening of True Food in Tampa marks the brand’s fifth restaurant in the state of Florida and its 40th location nation-wide. True Food will host a three-week job fair starting this week with plans to hire more than 130 team members including servers, bartenders, host and hostesses, chefs, cooks, dishwashers and more.

The restaurant is looking to hire people seeking career opportunities within True Food’s full-service restaurant. Benefits include competitive salaries, restaurant discounts, professional mentorship and growth opportunities.

Those interested can apply from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Monday, Jan. 24 to Saturday, Jan. 29 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Monday, Jan. 31 to Saturday, Feb. 5 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the True Food Kitchen at Midtown Tampa, 3645 Midtown Drive, Tampa.

True Food Kitchen, located at Midtown Commons, will feature a thoughtfully designed spacious dining room with 127 seats, an open kitchen designed to bring guests closer to the restaurant’s culinary craft, and a full-service bar joining the dining room and outdoor patio, accessible by either side.

The restaurant features a covered patio seating for 88 guests. Indoors, natural woods and locally inspired artwork add a contemporary touch to the earthy color scheme with natural elements and greenery, including indoor and outdoor garden basins filled with fresh herbs and spices. Eco-friendly materials are used throughout the restaurant, and dining chairs are made of recycled soda bottles.

Co-founded by integrative medicine expert, Dr. Andrew Weil, True Food Kitchen’s menu closely adheres to his anti-inflammatory food pyramid, which focuses on eating foods that help maintain optimal health. The restaurant will offer a variety of flavor-forward dishes and beverages for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch.

True Food Kitchen will open with a variety of ordering options. In-store, guests are offered the option to order via their mobile phone, allowing them to scan, order and pay directly from their device. True Food will offer guests the convenience of enjoying food in the comfort of their home by featuring the full menu online for pick-up or delivery.

Diners at the Midtown Tampa location who sign up for the True Insider loyalty program before Monday, Feb. 7, will have an opportunity to get an exclusive sneak peek at the restaurant by being invited to one of the VIP events taking place the weekend prior to opening.
