Jjon Mohr Obituary (1958 – 2021) – Roseville, CA

JJON DONOVAN MOHR A beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend, our Jjon Mohr, age 63, passed away on September 23, 2021. Jjon was born on March 9, 1958 to Donovan and Norma Gay Mohr in Roseville California. He was the fourth born of nine children. Jjon first came on the scene being of service to his mother; he was a true “Momma’s Boy”. Jjon relished in the sharing the stories of his boyhood. He was the “great protector” of his siblings, loved looking after and working with his brother, Rring Mohr, and as a youth developed the love to answer the call to serve. A life passion of Jjon’s has always been great sound. At the age of 14 he had started a sound company that would become Mohr Sound. Jjon invested his heart and soul into Mohr Sound; this was one of the many labors of love he provided. He loved developing and working those that worked on “The Crew” while bringing others the Mohr Sound experience. Mohr Sound was a love of Jjon’s and he continued providing the skull crushing experience to the day he died. Jjon served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he served in the Nashville Tennessee mission 1977-1979. He loved the people and had many, many exciting stories and experiences he loved to share. Jjon was a devout member and answered many callings while in the service of his fellow men. Jjon was a true righteous warrior. After his mission Jjon went to work for Pacific Gas and Electric. He felt he never worked a day in his life because he loved what he did. He started at PG&E digging ditches and worked his way to become Lead building mechanic of PG&E . He was a master electrician, a master plumber, and a massager contractor, he wasn’t a stranger to a hard day’s work, he was a real working foreman. Jjon met the love of his life, Dianne R Clifton and they were married May, 15,1982. They were sealed for time and for eternity on May 20, 1983 in the Oakland Temple. They had five children, adopted one and fostered MANY. Their children were what brought Jjon the most joy. Jjon and Dianne were known for being mother and father figures to many children even to go to Europe to help out with grand babies. Jjon became the Pleasant Valley Viking 1998-2008, the best rally’s and the best games when The Viking was there!! Jjon moved to Wellington,Utah in 2009, he developed a genuine love for Wellington and the communities around. He was known for his sound jobs that blew everyone out of the water. Jjon was a storyteller. He was the Viking. He lived a life of following the promptings of the spirit which led him to a variety of experiences now shared by others. Anyone who met Jjon knew of his love for the Savior, Jesus Christ, and his life devotion to His kingdom. Jjon is survived by his wife, Dianne; children, Branndon Mohr, Tammara (Jason) Adamson, Savannah (Dean) Herger, Coltton (Jaci) Mohr, Mikell (Paula) Mohr, Tony (Michael) Mohr-Oliver; siblings, Minell (Steven) Smith, Kori (Michael) Pilkington, Cheri (Duane) Serverson, Suzanna Nye, Rring (Renee) Mohr, Sundi Lyons, Hunni (Richard) Jackson, Mundi (Dan) Larkin; And 17 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Donovan and Norma; brother-in-law Alan Banks; daughter-in-law Leanne Mohr and son Christopher Scott Benton. Funeral service were held October 1, 2021 in Wellington Utah.
